About me.

I'm Kenda Al Yakobi, a dedicated photographer whose lens has seized the essence of countless moments.

My photographic path has been shaped by a blend of formal learning, life's twists and turns, and moments of self-revelation. From my early experiences in high school darkrooms to honing my skills at Sheridan College's photography program, and even navigating a detour into the world of nutrition and recipe exploration as a stay-at-home mom, photography has remained a steadfast companion throughout my journey.

Beyond the lens, you'll find me immersed in nature — hiking, kayaking, running with audiobooks playing in the background — and creating chaos in artsy endeavors with my kids. These diverse threads weave into my identity.

As an Iraqi-Palestinian Canadian, my values are deeply rooted in my heritage. I bring this rich tapestry to my work, committed to social justice and seeking clients who resonate with those principles. Photography isn't just a profession; it's a platform to tell stories that matter, stories that align with the values of authenticity, diversity, and social consciousness.

If you're looking for more than just photos, but a shared commitment to narratives that make a difference, let's make some visual magic together. Ready to capture your story?
